I was born into scarcity - raised by immigrant parents navigating a new world with more fear than certainty. We arrived in the UK when I was two years old with little more than hope. But here, we were given something we didn’t expect: dignity.
I received free school meals. I lived in council housing. I was granted access to a world-class education without paying a penny. The UK welfare state held me up when I couldn’t stand on my own - and that changed everything. It gave me the stability to dream and the structure to climb. That invisible safety net didn’t just catch me; it launched me.
Years later, I became a millionaire and made hundreds of millions for others. I built companies. I stood in rooms I never imagined I’d enter. But through every milestone, one truth became clearer: I didn’t make it alone. I was carried - by a system that believed no one should fall so far they couldn’t rise again.
